Teaching Assistant Level 2 – KS1

Location: Sandwell, West Midlands
Full time, 5 days per week
September start
Twenty 4 Seven Education are currently seeking level 2 or 3 qualified teaching assistants for roles we have available starting in September. The schools we are working with are situated in the Sandwell area. For these roles specifically, the schools are requesting individuals who have at least a level 2 qualification.
The Role
These schools are seeking reliable, hardworking and motivated teaching assistants to assist with general classroom tasks. The typical duties that will be carried out during this role are, reading and writing, phonics and assisting the class room teacher with various activities.
The main responsibilities will include
· Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
· Working 1:1 with pupils
· Working with small groups of pupils
· Supporting the teacher
· Working with SEN pupils is admirable but not essential
· A desire to make a positive contribution in class
· Successful track record of working with pupils
· Classroom-based experience
The candidate:
A teaching assistant qualification is desirable
A good knowledge of the curriculum
Must have a desire to make a positive contribution in class
Must have a desire to make a difference to the progress- academic, social and/or personal
Need a successful track record of working with pupils
Classroom-based experience is useful
