Twenty 4 Seven Education are delighted to be working alongside a small Catholic primary school in Dudley who is looking to appoint a year 2 teacher to work full time from September 2022.

The School

This teaching role is offered in a small, one form entry school which provides an education in a Catholic setting but welcomes those of all faiths and cultures. Its ethos is to promote Catholic values whilst being fully inclusive and sensitive to the range of cultures present in the community.

The Role

The school is looking to appoint an experienced year 2 teacher who is ready to take on this new role with enthusiasm and commitment.

Some key responsibilities of this role will include:

The planning and teaching of well-structured lessons that follow the school’s curriculum and schemes of work and keep in line with the school’s Catholic ethos
Being aware of effective pedagogical strategies
Being responsible for the preparation and development of teaching materials, teaching programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate
Being aware of pupils’ capabilities and prior knowledge and planning teaching and differentiation appropriately to build on these
Assessing, monitoring, recording and reporting on the needs, progress and achievements of pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
Setting high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
Demonstrating good subject and curriculum knowledge
Establishing a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect and follow the school’s policies for discipline consistently and fairly

The successful candidate:

Will be a passionate, experienced and committed teacher who will work with enthusiasm and professionalism
Must have QTS
Must have experience in a similar role with a proven track record of effective teaching and classroom management.
Must have an understanding of a range of teaching and learning styles and techniques and of effective procedures for managing and promoting positive outcomes and behaviour among pupils
Must be able to celebrate diversity whilst working in a manner that promotes our Catholic values
