SEN Teacher – Kidderminster – ASAP

An innovative and exciting Alternative Provision Secondary Free School in Kidderminster, are currently seeking a dynamic, resilient and qualified Teacher to teach pupils full time. This role is to start ASAP until July, in the first instance.

This recently ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated School provides high quality education for pupils between the ages of 11-17, to re-engage some of the most vulnerable and disengaged learners. Pupils attend this School who for a wide variety of reasons have disengaged or experienced difficulties in mainstream education. The School are seeking in particular a motivated, enthusiastic and flexible English, Maths or a Science Teacher who are able to deliver GCSE, Entry Level and Functional skills qualifications across KS3, 4 and 5. Core subjects should be vibrantly taught, engaging subjects with teachers who fully utilise interactive teaching methods in addition to the more formal approaches to engage a wide variety of learning needs.

They would also be interested in applications from Teachers who specialise in any other area but have a passion for teaching disengaged learners. Please specify your area of specialism when discussing this role with myself.

The ideal candidate:
* Hold a UK recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QLTS)
* Experience of teaching pupils with SEN and/or behavioural difficulties
* Excellent subject and curriculum knowledge
* Able to deliver tailored lessons that challenge and support pupils
* Have high expectations of pupils
* Demonstrate effective use of summative and formative assessment
* Committed to safeguarding
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Good communication and organisation skills
* Strong classroom and behaviour management to ensure a discipline and joyful culture
* Right to work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. Candidates without an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service will have to apply for a new one
