Twenty4Seven Education are looking for a confident and passionate individual to work as a one to one learning support assistant in a Primary school based in Caerphilly. We are looking for a learning support assistant that can use their initiative to work with a variety of different needs. The 1-1 learning support assistant is based in the foundation phase and is to support the child on a full time basis.
We welcome both experienced teaching assistants, and those with the skills and ability to transition into this career.

The role and responsibilities:

• To work full time on a 1-1 basis, as directed by the class teacher and SENCO, to support learning across the curriculum
• To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical and emotional/behavioural/ medical needs of the child
• Setting up activities in the classroom, preparing resources and displays and ensuring the classroom is tidy at the end of the day.
• Support the class teacher with other aspects of the classroom as and when required
• To build a supportive, empathetic and secure relationship with the child, promoting respect, confidence and a positive attitude.

Candidates without an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service will have to apply for a new one.
