Job Description

Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

Location: Canterbury

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and enthusiastic team as soon as possible at our established nursery in Canterbury. As a Level 3 practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and wellbeing, and helping them to develop their social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, organise and deliver a range of activities and experiences that are age-appropriate and aligned with the EYFS framework
Maintain accurate records and use them to inform future planning and activities
Build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
Create and maintain a clean and safe learning environment, ensuring that equipment and resources are well-maintained
Work in partnership with parents to support children’s learning and development at home
Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures, including health and safety, safeguarding and data protection
Requirements:

A minimum of Level 3 childcare qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education or equivalent
Good understanding and knowledge of the EYFS framework and its implementation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, colleagues and parents
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to the overall development of the setting
A strong commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare
