ob Title: SEN Outreach Tutor

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent

Salary: £18 – £23 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced SEN Outreach Tutor to join our team. As an Outreach Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one support and tutoring for children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) in their homes or other settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with children and young people with SEN, delivering one-to-one tuition sessions tailored to their individual needs and learning styles.
Plan and prepare engaging and stimulating learning activities and resources.
Build strong relationships with parents, carers and other professionals involved in the child’s education and care.
Monitor and evaluate progress, and regularly report back to parents and other professionals on the child’s achievements and areas for development.
Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and other support plans, working collaboratively with other professionals.
Requirements:

Relevant teaching or tutoring qualification, or equivalent experience working with children and young people with SEN.
Knowledge and understanding of a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Experience of delivering one-to-one tuition or small group interventions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability, with a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.
A valid DBS certificate and full driving license.
