The School:
This ‘Good’ Ofsted rated Primary School is a single form entry Primary School and they are blessed with a beautiful environment. On site they have a large environmental area, which gives many opportunities for outdoor learning including weekly forest school sessions. Their Early Years curriculum aims to provide broadly based experiences, providing rich contexts for learning, which have real meaning for the child. Young children learn through exploration, talk and play, and their Early Years provision provides an interesting, relevant environment with wide opportunities in which children can be actively involved in their learning.

The Role:
This exciting new role is to start ASAP until July however, for the right candidate this has the potential to become a permanent contract.

The School is looking to recruit a full time Teaching Assistant to join their passionate and enthusiastic team, to support pupils in Nursery and Reception. Pupils learn, share, work and play together in their well‐resourced areas, both indoors and outdoors.

Their EYFS Unit creates an exciting, positive and stimulating environment, which gives all pupils the opportunity to thrive and become independent learners, reaching their potential and beyond! This may include the opportunity to work as a general Teaching Assistant within the EYFS Unit or to provide group or one-to-one support with identified pupils. You will need to form positive relationships with children encouraging them to flourish and learn.

The EYFS Unit is designed and organised so there are well defined areas for adult led activities to take place whilst also allowing for successful free flow to occur during child initiated time. During this time, children have the opportunity to independently access a variety of exciting and engaging activities, allowing staff including yourself to make accurate observations of the children’s learning and plan suitable provision to meet the next steps in their learning.

The ideal candidate:

** Have the ability to form positive professional relationships with young children and staff
