1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant (Morning Role)

**Location: Cardiff
**Part-time Morning role (9:00 to 13:00)
**September start until the end of the academic year

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside a charming and joyful primary school located in a residential area in Cardiff. They are looking for a kind and compassionate learning support assistant (LSA) to work alongside a pupil with additional learning needs (ALN).

The school

The school is part of a thriving community that strives for the best education for all pupils and works alongside the team of staff to create a welcoming and encouraging learning environment that helps build their confidence and individuality. The school works to create an environment that challenges all pupils to be open-minded and think creatively. They are looking for a dedicated LSA who will work alongside the team of staff to support one student with ALN and assist them in all aspects of their school life.

The role

The successful candidate will begin work in September and work until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of this role becoming permanent. They will work in the mornings, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 13:00 during term time.

As a one-to-one SEN LSA you will:

Work one-to-one with a pupil with additional learning needs
Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further
Work with the pupil and teacher to plan and put into action systems to help the pupil
Support the classroom teacher


The successful candidate

Will be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have a good command of the English language
Experience working in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
