Twenty 4 Seven are thrilled to be working alongside this welcoming and joyful primary school located in a residential area of Newport. They are looking for a caring and passionate Teaching Assistant to join their nursery staff and assist the classroom teacher throughout the school day.

They provide a safe, happy and caring environment and want a Teaching assistant who will work to continue this and be dedicated to the development of the pupils individually and as a group.

The role
The successful candidate will begin work as soon as possible and will work term-times working 8:30 to 15:30. This role is a temporary role with the possibility of becoming permanent.

As a General Teaching Assistant you will:
Assist the pupils in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupils in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupils and learn how best to support them
Assist in planning, preparing, and performing learning activities with the teacher
Ensure the pupil’s safety and supervise and assist their access to learning activities
Support the classroom teacher and work with small groups of pupils

The successful candidate:
Will be enthusiastic, approachable, and passionate
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have a good command of the English language
Will be able to implement and adapt learning activities
Experience working in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Teaching assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
