1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD)

**Location: Caerphilly

**ASAP Start

**Fulltime 

**Minimum of 3 months experience required

 

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside this welcoming and modern primary school located in a residential area in Caerphilly. They are looking for an enthusiastic and joyful Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil with Autism Spectrum disorder and work with their passionate team of staff to create a happy and stimulating classroom environment.

The school

The school is run by a dedicated team of staff who work together to create a stimulating environment where both pupils and staff grow and develop their skills creating an ever-evolving and developing learning environment. They are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil with ASD who will continue to show the school’s dedication to providing the best possible education for all pupils.

The Role 

The successful candidate will work full-time within the school with the possibility of becoming a permanent member of staff. This is a term-time role and will be from 8:30 to 15:30 on weekdays excluding school holidays. The successful candidate will be working with a pupil with autism spectrum disorder supporting them throughout their school day and encouraging them to develop academically, socially, and personally.

The key responsibilities will include:

Assisting the pupil with accessing the curriculum
Assisting the pupil with developing academically, socially, and personally
Support the classroom teacher in learning activities and classroom management
Assist in preparing and completing learning activities
Support the pupil on a one-to-one basis and discuss with both the student and teacher ways to further support the pupils.

The successful candidate:

Will be kind, dedicated, and passionate
Will have a minimum of 3 months of experience working within an educational setting
Will have experience working with children with SEN
Will have a good command of the English language
Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not required.
