1:1 Teaching Assistant (Afternoon Role)

**Part time, Afternoon Role

**3 Months of relevant experience required

Twenty4Seven Education is delighted to be working alongside this joyful and inviting primary school located in Caerphilly. They are looking for a teaching assistant to work in their early-year class working 1:1 with a student with additional learning needs.

The School

The school is run by a dedicated team of staff who work to put the students first and provide a stimulating and inspiring environment where they are given a range of learning activities that supports them as they develop academically, socially, and personally. They are looking for a teaching assistant who will be supportive and caring for their students and help them in their everyday school life.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin working as soon as possible working weekdays during term time in the afternoon from 12:30-3:30. They will be working 1:1 with a pupil in the early years class with additional learning needs supporting them and helping them develop and thrive.

As a one-to-one SEN TA you will:

  • Work one-to-one with a pupil with special educational needs
  • Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
  • Assist the pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
  • Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further
  • Work with the pupil and teacher to plan and put into action systems to help the pupil
  • Support the classroom teacher when needed

The successful candidate

  •  Will be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
  • Will have experience working within an educational setting
  • Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
  • Will have a good command of the English language
  • Will have a minimum of 3 months of relevant experience
  • Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
