Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant

**Location: Newport
**Full-time, Fixed Term
**September start, till the end of the academic year

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside this incredible and inviting primary school located in a residential area in Newport. They are looking for a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant to work within their early years learning resource base.

The school

They work alongside each pupil to develop their individual strengths and skills and provide a stimulating learning environment that encourages this development. The school is run by a dedicated team of staff who believe that you are never done learning. They show this through their own self-evaluation process and dedicate time to improve their teaching to ensure their pupils are given the best possible learning experience. The successful candidate will be working in their learning resource base where their staff are dedicated to providing each pupil with an education that best meets their needs and encourages them to further their academic, social, and personal development. They are looking for a confident and passionate Teaching assistant who is willing to get stuck in and put the needs of the child first.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin working in September and will continue till the end of the academic year. They will work weekdays during term time from 8:30 to 15:30. They will be working in the early year’s resource base supporting the pupils and encouraging their academic, social, and personal development.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

Work one-to-one with pupils in the learning resource base
Assist the pupils in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupils in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupils and learn how to support them in the best way possible
Work with the pupils and staff to plan and put into action systems to help the pupil
Support the staff and work in small groups completing learning activities

The Successful Candidate:

Will be patient, enthusiastic, and confident
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have a good command of the English language
Will have experience working in a similar role
Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential (Training qualifications are available at discounted rates)
