Job Description

Twenty4Seven Education is proud to be working alongside Primary Schools  in the Newport area and are recruiting NQT’s recruiting on their behalf to work on both long term and daily supply assignments. We are seeking Newly Qualified Teacher’s to work in Early Years, Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 classes on daily supply or on a long-term basis, which could lead to a permanent contract. Daily supply for an NQT is great as you get to experience a variety of schools, get to know their ethos and will help you decide on where you would like to work in the future, all whilst still contributing to your NQT hours.

We have specific NQT support from ex-teaching professionals and experienced consultants on hand to assist with completion of your NQT year. We will provide you with support for and help guide you through your professional learning passport.

 

As a newly qualified teacher you’ll be expected to:

• Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism

• Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment

• Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges

• Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation

• Maintain discipline

• Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development

• Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area

• Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum

• Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening

• Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
