Job Description

At Twenty4Seven Education, we are currently seeking a full time qualified and passionate English Teacher for a Secondary School in Coventry. This exciting new role is to start September on a temp to perm basis.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to work in one of the dynamic secondary schools in Coventry. As an English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of young individuals and fostering a love for the English language and literature. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students and contribute to their academic and personal development.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities.
Teach students in accordance with the school’s curriculum and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their progress.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active participation and student engagement.
Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication through discussions, debates, and interactive activities.
Use a variety of teaching resources, including digital tools, to enhance the learning experience and meet the diverse needs of students.
Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing timely feedback and guidance for improvement.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and share best practices.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, and communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child’s academic achievements and areas of improvement.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (a relevant teaching qualification is highly desirable).
Proven experience teaching English at the secondary school level, preferably in a similar educational setting.
Sound knowledge of the English curriculum, teaching methodologies, and assessment techniques.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for literature and language.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
Collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
