KS2 Teaching Assistant – Cardiff – Full Time
Job Description
A Primary school we work closely with in Cardiff has asked us to recruit for a Fluent Welsh Classroom Assistant to work in KS2. The position will commence after Easter and is likely to run for the academic year. This role is temporary, however on some occasions a permanent position may arise. Interviews will be held via zoom in the next 2 weeks.
In this role, you will need to be flexible and work across all year groups in KS2. You will help the teacher to deliver interventions and differentiate for the needs of the learner. Additionally, you will help the teacher manage challenging behaviour effectively.
The school has highlighted the need for a dedicated candidate who is committed to making a positive difference on pupil learning. The successful candidate will be assigned a fantastic support team in KS2 who offer CPD training throughout the year.
Desirable skills or experience –
Level 2 and 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education Early Years
Sensitivity and understanding
Excellent verbal communication skills
To be able to carry out basis tasks on a computer or handheld device
The school is looking to appoint the right candidate after Easter. This job role is a temporary position. However, in some cases a permanent contract can arise at a later date.
