The successful learning support assistant will be required to work in the nursery class and ideally have experience working within the foundation phase.

Twenty4Seven are looking for a learning support assistant that has understanding of the classroom role and responsibilities, someone that possess a good knowledge of working with, or caring for, children, ideally combined with an awareness of policies and procedures relating to child protection.

The successful learning support assistant will display good behaviour management skills, along with excellent communication skills to effectively work with members of staff and parents.

Confidence to work effectively as part of a team and independently using your own initiative is essential.

The role will involve supporting a variety of children within the nursery classroom in a small and friendly primary school in Caerphilly.

The successful candidate to work as a learning support assistant with Twenty4Seven  job would require the following:

· Understand how children learn most effectively

· Be an enthusiastic team player

· Be patient, supportive, understanding, positive and encouraging.

· Have high expectations for the children in their care and also achievement and behaviour

· Have good Literacy, Numeracy and communication skills

· Have a good understanding of how to develop phonics
