Twenty 4 Seven Education are pleased to be able to offer this unique opportunity to work as an SEMH Support Worker within a small and specialist school in the Gloucester area.

The School

This OFSTED rated “good” school near Gloucester caters to students between the ages of 8 and 18 and the majority of these have complex Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With less than fifty students, this is a very small school where students benefit from high staff to student ratios, with around six students and five adults per class including a class teacher and five TAs. A full academic curriculum is offered to students here as well as creative opportunities and an emphasis on physical education.

The Role

The successful candidate for this highly rewarding position must be someone who has a positive outlook and calm disposition, with a desire to make a difference and help secure brighter futures for young people. They will be working with very small groups, supporting the students with their daily school life as well as helping them to access their curriculum and help them to reach their potential.

Although some training or experience in a similar role would be useful, this may not be a necessity for this position as it is more important to find that perfect candidate. Training opportunities will be provided, including NVQ L3 and there will be plenty of professional development available.

Salary starts at £19,312, paid on a pro rata basis, working a 30 hour school week, 39 weeks of the year. Overtime is always available, with potential SEN points for qualifying candidates.
