Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons to students in accordance with the curriculum guidelines.
Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.
Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of assessment techniques, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Monitor and track student performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions.
Plan and organize practical experiments and demonstrations, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Keep up to date with the latest scientific advancements and educational practices to enhance teaching strategies.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives, promoting cross-curricular learning opportunities.
Maintain effective communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.
Requirements:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, specializing in science education.
Relevant academic background in science, preferably with a degree in a scientific discipline.
Strong subject knowledge across multiple science disciplines (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics).
Experience teaching science at the secondary school level, preferably in the UK education system.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students effectively.
Ability to differentiate instruction and cater to the diverse needs of students.
Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Familiarity with the national curriculum and assessment requirements in science.
Passion for continuous professional development and staying abreast of educational advancements.
