Job Description

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD)

Location Cardiff

Start Date ASAP

Full time/Part time

3 Months experience working with children preferred

Twenty 4Seven Education is excited to announce a position for an enthusiastic teaching assistant working 1:1 with a pupil in year 1 with autism spectrum disorder.

The School

Focused on nurturing and supporting pupils both emotionally and academically.  To ensure they achieve the best possible by providing a dynamic and safe environment where educational and personal goals can be realized for our pupils.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin working as soon as possible and will continue to the end of the academic year. They will work term time Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 15:30 working  with pupils and supporting them with their daily school life.

As a Teaching Assistant you will

Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further in the best way possible
Assist the pupil in  completing set learning activities
Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities

The successful candidate:

Will be enthusiastic, approachable, and passionate
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have a good command of the English language
Will be able to implement and adapt learning activities
Teaching assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
