Cover Supervisor – Newport

We are looking for individuals with a passion for education that are looking for day-to-day and long-term vacancies as a Cover Supervisor for Secondary Schools in Newport. As a Cover Supervisor you will be confident and responsible as the lead of the classroom, delivering lessons in a variety of subjects.

Whether you are an aspiring Future Teacher looking to gain experience in the classroom, a Post-Graduate looking for flexible working, or someone with experience working with children and want this to continue, being a Cover Supervisor could be perfect for you!

Cover Supervisors are not required to have obtained Qualified Teacher Status however applicants will be subject to a vetting process, an Enhanced DBS check and Education Workforce Council registration. It is desirable for candidates to be flexible with travel so access to a car is beneficial but not essential. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring that pupils in the classroom are safe, behaving in line with school expectations, completing all work set, and most of all providing an engaging classroom so that pupils can continue with their academic studies.

Cover Supervisor roles are perfect if you are:

• Looking for flexible working around your availability
• Experienced in a subject or working with children
• Have not acquired Qualified Teacher Status (applications still welcome as a Supply Teacher)
• £75-£90 per day with hours approximately 8.30-3.30
• Looking to build experience in the classroom across a variety of schools
