Cover Supervisor 

**Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf 

**ASAP Start

**Experience working with children or in education required 

The Role

The role of a cover supervisor is to support classes in the event the usual teacher is absent. You are not required to plan your own lessons but to deliver the lesson as instructed by the class teacher. As a cover supervisor, you can gain valuable experience across various departments within the school and learn about aspects of education such as SEN, physical education and mentoring.

Key responsibilities:

Promptly taking the register at the start of lessons
Delivering the lesson in the way the class teacher or management has instructed, be it showing a presentation, handing out resources or setting project work, for example.
Ensuring that students are on task, managing challenging behaviour when needed
Supporting students in their learning
Being organised in checking lessons in advance and preparing resources in time for the lesson
