Twenty4Seven Education is delighted to be working with this fantastic primary school located in Caerphilly. They are looking for a part time teaching assistant to work within their Year 2 classroom supporting the classroom teacher and working with groups of pupils who may be struggling with the curriculum.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin working as soon as possible and will be working part time during weekdays throughout the term time. They will be working in the year 2 class working to support the teacher and create an enriching learning experience for all pupils.

As a Teaching Assistant you will:

Support the classroom teacher in preparing and teaching educational activities
Work in small groups leading activities set by the teacher
Get to know the pupils in the class and learn how to support them academically, socially, and personally
Discuss and put into action strategies to support the pupils with the teacher
Assist the pupils in accessing the curriculum

The successful candidate:

Will be caring, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have a good command of the English language
Experience working in a similar role
Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent
